Creativity Week: Lilipop and Jellypop

17 Mar

Hello, this is Lilipop and today for the last day of Creativity Week Jelly and I want to show you some of the creative stuff we do!

As you may already know, Jelly and I are both musicians. I play the viola and the bassoon and Jelly plays the flute (we also both have the ability to sing and often harminise The Beach Boys really really badly but that doesn’t count). Here I have a video I made our of a soundtrack of a concert we did and some pictures of the orchestra! Hope you enjoy!

It would be great if you gals could comment on these posts, your opinions and maybe some suggestion or submitions (for another creativity week or for another themed week altogether!). Creativity Week: Elly and Milly

16 Mar

Hello! This is Lilipop and today we are joined by the fantastic dancers, Elly and Milly. I didn’t give them a lot of time but they came up with this BRILLIANT tap dace for us.

Our names are Elly (14 years old) and Milly (15 years old). We have both been dancing for many years and attend the same performing arts school. We both really enjoy our dancing and learning new skills. We especially enjoy participating in the many dance shows we have been part of at London Theatres such as Saddlers Wells and The Royal Albert Hall. Here’s a video of us doing one of our tap dances!

Creativity Week: Aria

15 Mar

Todays guest is Aria who does photography, sadly we are not able to show you all of the photos she sent us as there are just to many so here are a selection. Aria got her camera for her 14th birthday and hasn’t stopped taking pictures since!

I’m a daughter of two artists, consequently I visit a lot of exhibitions, during these visits I’ve discovered that there’s other types of art than paint on a canvas, or pencil on paper…..photography! The more exhibitions I visited the more excited I  became about photography! And finally after an inspirational exhibition by ‘Tim Walker’ I brought myself a professional camera. Starting to take photos of everything and anything. Then people began to see them and comment, I’ve had 4 commitions to take photos since September! It’s been one of the most exciting experiences of my life so far to find such a joyful hobby that I hope to continue with. Photography shows another view on life and is inspirational to me.

Creativity Week: Kat

14 Mar

I think today’s guest is Kat. Kat makes short films and we are very grateful that she has given us “30 Second To Impact” to show you today. As with most of our guests this week, I know nothing about films but this is really cool and I hope you think so as well.

Hey, I’m Kat, I’m 14 years old. I’ve always had a passion for film, and I’ve discovered it to be a great way to express myself, as that is a task which I’ve always found hard, even though all my films aren’t real, they all link to one aspect of me. I hope you enjoy 🙂

Creativity Week: Eloise

13 Mar

Hello! This is Lilipop and today I would like to introduce you to the amazing Eloise who, today, is showing us some of the fantastic thisngs she makes.

I’m Eloise and I’m 15. I absolutely love fashion and I think its a great platform to express your personality and individuality. I started making things from about age 10 after my Nan bought me a sewing machine for Christmas one year, I love customising old pieces of clothing and turning them into something completely new. I’d love to go into fashion as a career so I thought that trying to start up a small scale fashion business would be a good idea, and I enjoy making the t-shirts too! Because each t-shirt is completely unique you never have to worry about turning up in the same outfit as anyone else!

Creativity Week: Micky

12 Mar

Today our guest is Micky! Micky (A.K.A LeXachima on YouTube) makes some amazing music videos which she publishes on YouTube. She has very kindly agreed to share them with us so check her out and subscribe to her channel if you have a YouTube account!

Hey, my name is Micky (Michaela) and I am 15 years old! I love metal and rock music and spend most of my time playing my guitar, videogames or making videos. I have been making videos for a long time but only recently just started putting them online. Most of the videos I create will feature my brother and sister or friends and family of mine. They usually all have a deeper message and hidden meanings because I like to express my innermost thoughts through these videos :3 Also I love Amy Lee and not Mia.

Creativity Week: Milly Castle

11 Mar

Hi, this is Lilipop. Today’s type of creativity is poetry. Milly Castle has kindly let us show you some of her amazing peotry. I don’t know a lot about poetry but I know this is beyond brilliant. Before you read the poetry, let me introduce you to Milly.

My name is Milly Castle and I am 15 years old. I have written poetry since the age of 7, and have won many competitions where my poetry has been published in books sold nationwide. My poetry really took off at the age of 12 after my mother passed away as I found a stimulus to base my poetry on. Hence, my inspiration for all my poetry nowadays is feelings about grief, and what I think those that have departed from us would like to say. To me poetry is easy to write ,and is a way of expressing the emotions you find difficult to speak of verbally. Within a poem you can say anything you like and will not be judged, for poetry is a form of art that stems from the poets experiences.

DEPARTURE
The brightest star in the sky,
belongs to those that had to fly.
Fly beyond the world we see,
departing from you and me.
Letting go of those they love,
and watching over from above.
Keeping as memories in our heads,
for in our hearts they are not dead.

ALIVE

Do not treat me as if im dead
For I am a memory in your head
I am the sparkle in your eye
I am the wind that blows on by
I am the stars seen at night
I am the sun that brings you light
I am the snowflake in the tree
I am your angel and always will be
So do not treat me as if im dead
For I am a memory forever in your head
